HPFC Eagles 97 Blue won the GU11 Gold bracket when they defeated Eastside FC 2 - 0.
HPFC Heat 95 won the BU13 Silver bracket when they defeated WUSC Boca Juniors 1 - 0.

HPFC Eagles 97 Red won the GU11 bracket when they defeated Eastside FC White.
HPFC Eagles 96 Red lost in the semi-finals of the GU12 age bracket.

HPFC Eagles 97 White advanced to the finals as the number one seed by beating FC Alliance Gold 7-5. Then they beat a very tough Sun City Strykers club 8-5 for the tourney win under 105 degree temperature. A very hard fought, thrilling weekend of soccer.
HPFC Eagles 94 Red took 2nd place in the GU14/15 age bracket.
Congratulations to Emerson De Oliveira on receiving an invitation to participate in the U.S. National Team Camp in California. Emerson is currently the goalkeeper for Seattle University as well as a long-time HPFC player.

Heat Blue 94 (U14) lost in the finals to Crossfire Black 0-2.
Heat Blue 93 (U15) won the final against NLSC Sparta 2-0. CHAMPION
Heat Blue 92 (U16) did not advance out of bracket.
Heat Blue 91 (U17) beat South Hill Revolution 3-2 in OT. CHAMPION
Heat Blue 90 (U18) lost to NWN Red 0-1 in the finals.
Eagles 97 Blue (U11) was undefeated, but 2nd in their bracket and did not advance.
Eagles 97 Red (U11 went 2-1 in bracket, losing only to the eventual winner.
Eagles 96 Blue (U12) were also undefeated, but finished a close 2nd in bracket and did not advance (but tied for 3rd in total points out of 16 teams.
Eagles 94 Blue (U14) lost in the finals to FCSC (Salmon Creek) Nemesis 0-3.
Eagles 93 Blue (U15) lost in the finals to Eastside White 0-1.
Eagles 91 Blue (U17) lost in the semifinals to Evergreen in kicks from the mark.
Congratulations to the recipients of the 2008 HPFC Senior Scholarship, awarded annually to graduating seniors who are members of Highline Premier Football Club.
Marshall Kosaka is planning to study civil engineering this fall at Seattle University. In addition to his studies he will also be playing soccer for Seattle University. A forward and midfielder, Marshall has been playing soccer for HPFC for the past eight years, including playing on this year’s U18 State Cup Champions. Marshall has also been an active volunteer coach since 2004 with a boy’s team out of West Highline Soccer Club. Scholastically, he has achieved at a high level, maintaining a high GPA for his high school studies.
Chanel Fuchigami is headed to Azusa Pacific University located just north of Los Angeles. While excelling on the field, Chanel has also maintained a near perfect GPA in high school. In addition to her five years of playing for HPFC, Chanel has been an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, mission trips to Tijuana, Mexico, and various other activities within the community.
Maia Kurnik is the starting varsity goalkeeper for her high school and will be attending Western Washington University in the fall. Maia is a member of the HPFC Eagles ’89 team and has been with HPFC for the past two years. She has been an active volunteer with Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, Des Moines Food Bank, and the City of Federal Way Multiservice Center for the past several years.
Murphy Campbell is a member of the US Soccer Development Academy – Crossfire Inaugural U18 Team and is planning to attend Santa Clara University this fall. Murphy started his soccer career with HPFC over eight years ago. With the guidance of Darren Sawatszky, Tom Moore, and Jason Prenovost he has been able to obtain a high level of soccer excellence. Murphy is a member of the National Honor Society and ranked 15th in his class. Murphy is a shining star in the classroom as well as on the soccer field.
Evan Richter of HPFC Heat ’89 has been playing soccer with the club for 8 years. He will be attending Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo this fall. In addition to studying civil engineering, Evan will be playing soccer for their Division I soccer team. Evan is a grade 8 WSYSA Referee as well as a trainer with the West Highline Titans BU15 team. In 2007, Evan was named to the Washington State ’88 ODP All Star Team.
Tianna Homad has been a member of the HPFC Eagles ’89 team for the past three years. She was named to 1st Team All League and 2nd Team All State this year. Tianna will be attending Pacific University this fall.
About the HPFC Senior Scholarship
Annually HPFC selects boys and girls to be awarded the HPFC Senior Scholarship. Awardees are selected based on accomplishments in the classroom and on the soccer field, as well as contributions to their community through volunteerism and other community service activities. Each will receive $1000 to be used towards their college education.
